Enrichment Mentor - On Track Intervention Services

Support, nurture, inspire, empower.

Due to increased referrals Enrichment Mentors are required at the On Track Education Intervention Services team based in Totnes, serving South Devon (including Exeter & Plymouth).  You will be required to work 1:1 off site so must be able to drive and have use of your own vehicle.

On Track Education Services Ltd is a not-for-profit company established by a team of teachers in 2004. The company now operates eight independent special schools and additional support services around the country for young people with a range of diverse special educational needs. Students have their places funded by their local authorities or schools.  On Track provides a variety of education and support services to children and young people with a range of complex and diverse needs. 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Provide individual support and supervision for students aged between 7-19, encouraging their engagement in the learning process, working towards agreed aims and objectives
  • Plan and deliver parts of the learning or intervention programme for the young people.
  • Work 1:1 and in small groups with students as part of a professional team contributing towards meeting the academic, social, behavioural and emotional needs of young people

 

Key Skills/Experience:

  • Good general standard of education including GCSE Grade 4 or equivalent in English and Maths
  • Experience of working with children and young people
  • High levels of motivation, commitment and enthusiasm and ability to inspire and empathise with young people
  • You will be required to transport children and young people in your own car which must be insured for business use

Hours of work:  8.45am – 4.45pm, Monday - Friday. This will be a temporary contract initially.

Annual salary: Starting salary £19,760 per annum. This is the actual salary and is not pro rata for term time.
