Lead Maths Teacher - On Track Education Totnes

On Track Education in Totnes is a mixed, day special school which opened in November 2005.  The school provides education for up to 48 pupils aged 7-19 who benefit from small group and individualised learning.  We use the Thrive approach to develop healthy, happy, confident children who are ready and open to learning.  The main school is located in Totnes with a second school site nearby in Seale Hayne, Newton Abbot. 

We are looking to recruit a Lead Maths Teacher. You are likely to be required to work across two school sites in South Devon therefore you must be able to drive and have use of your own vehicle.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Implement an effective and enjoyable Maths curriculum which enables and encourages all pupils to make good progress and achieve their potential
  • Continually develop a progressive Maths curriculum and cross-curricular opportunities across the school
  • Support other staff to deliver high quality Maths lessons

Personal Attributes:

 

  • Qualified Teacher (QTS/QTLS/PGCE)
  • The ability to teach inspiring and interesting lessons
  • A passion for working with pupils with SEN and a range of emotional and behavioural difficulties
  • A commitment to positive behaviour management

Salary £28,620 - £42,545 per annum dependent on qualifications and experience.
