About On Track

On Track Education was established in 2005 to provide high-quality, bespoke educational and pastoral support for young people who struggle to thrive in mainstream and other specialist settings. Over the years, we have grown into a family of special schools and support services for children and young people in Suffolk, Devon, Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire and Wiltshire.

Our team

We are a team of highly experienced education professionals with a shared passion for enhancing the lives of young people. Our staff are trained, caring and committed to helping every young person realise their potential.

We also work in partnership with external professionals and agencies to ensure well-rounded support for pupils and families.

What makes us different

On Track offers more than just academic learning. Our specialist settings help young people to:

  • Re-engage with education after previous challenges
  • Build confidence, resilience, and emotional regulation
  • Access personalised support tailored to their needs
  • Experience a broad mix of academic, vocational and outdoor learning opportunities

Every day is a fresh start, and our approach is driven by care, nurture and support as well as a focus on achievement and well-being.

How we work

Our schools work collaboratively with families, local authorities and professionals to ensure each pupil receives the right support at the right time.

  • Personalised, needs-led education and support
  • Dedicated pastoral care
  • Nurture informed approaches
  • Safe, consistent environments that support wellbeing

This combination helps pupils develop both academically and personally, ready for the next step in life.

Inclusion and values

We are committed to inclusion, equality and respect for all. Across our organisation, we actively promote positive values, mutual respect and an ethos where everyone is valued regardless of background or ability. This commitment shapes our culture and day-to-day practice.

Quality and standards

On Track Education schools and services are regularly inspected and monitored to ensure high quality and accountability. This includes:

  • DfE registration and compliance
  • Ofsted inspection outcomes
  • Ongoing review of teaching, support and outcomes
  • We continuously reflect and improve so that pupils receive high-quality education and care in every setting.

Community and partnerships

We place a high value on the communities we serve. Through partnerships with local organisations, enrichment opportunities, charity work and community engagement, we help pupils feel connected and purposeful beyond the school gates.

Safeguarding and well-being

The safety and well-being of our pupils underpin everything we do. We maintain robust procedures and ensure staff are well trained, creating a supportive and attentive environment where pupils feel safe and are able to thrive and grow in all areas of their development.
