Our School

On Track Education in Totnes is an independent special school registered for 48 full time students aged 7 - 19. It caters for students with a range of complex needs including behavioural, emotional and social difficulties and autism. The school opened in 2005.

The main school site has the facilities to deliver a wide ranging curriculum comprising academic and vocational programmes. The main school site includes workshop facilities for motor engineering and construction, art and music studios, a food technology kitchen, a range of specialist classrooms, a gym and multi-use games area. Through our Woodlands and Yarner sites we are able to offer additional facilities including access to woodland, farmland and gardens to enhance our curriculum offer.

Each student has a personalised plan which can include academic and vocational qualifications and accreditation including GCSE, BTEC, Functional Skills, Entry Level and AQA Unit Awards across a wide variety of subjects. Students can work 1:1, be part of small groups, or have a combination of these. Our programmes combine the best of therapeutic intervention with accredited programmes of experiential and academic learning. Each student's plan is completely flexible to changing needs.

We are able to offer full or part time education and/or intervention and outreach services for students with a variety of special educational needs. Schools, both secondary and primary, can buy into our education or intervention services either for short term spot purchase places or through a Service Level agreement.
