safeguarding our pupils
Safeguarding is a fundamental priority and underpins all aspects of school life. We are fully committed to creating a safe, supportive environment where young people feel protected, listened to and cared for. Our staff are well-trained and vigilant, with a strong understanding of the safeguarding risks that can affect our pupils.
We recognise that some young people may be vulnerable to making choices that place them at risk. For this reason, we take a proactive and collaborative approach, working closely with pupils, families and external professionals to provide guidance, support and early intervention where needed. Our safeguarding arrangements are underpinned by clear policies, effective procedures and regular review to ensure the highest standards of care. Details of our safeguarding team can be found within our Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy.
Keeping your child safe online
The online world plays an important role in how young people learn, communicate and relax, and supporting safe digital use is a shared responsibility between school and home. We provide parents and carers with practical advice to help promote positive online behaviour, identify potential online risks and understand the tools available to keep children safe when using the internet. We work closely with families to encourage safe, respectful and confident use of digital technology, helping students navigate the online world with care and awareness.

Operation Encompass
Our school is part of Operation Encompass which is a national scheme that operates jointly between schools and police forces.
Operation Encompass is the reporting to schools, prior to the start of the next school day, when a child or young person has experienced domestic abuse. This is for Norfolk students only.
