our vision & ethos
At On Track Education in Northampton we believe that the individual needs of each young person come first. Our dedicated team of professionals use their wide range of skills and experience to ensure positive academic and pastoral outcomes for all our students.
British values & EQUALITY
At On Track Education we actively promote positive, inclusive values throughout everything we do. These include the five fundamental British values: democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and mutual respect for and tolerance of those of different faiths and beliefs.
We believe that British values are the values expected of anyone living in Britain, regardless of their nationality, culture, or religious belief. Our ethos, Support, Nurture, Inspire and Empower, underpins all aspects of school life, and we promote these values and ethos in everything we do. We are also proud to have achieved the IQM Inclusion Award and the Bronze Global Schools Award, which reflect our ongoing commitment to inclusion, equality, and the promotion of British values across our school community.
We ensure British values are not just taught but are embedded into everyday learning. They are included on every short-term plan and are used as cross-curricular links in every lesson to help students see their importance across all areas of learning and life. They are also embedded throughout our Behaviour Policy as well as our SMSC policy which can be found here helping shape expectations of conduct and respect within our school community.
Our Student Council also reflects and promotes these British values, giving learners the opportunity to experience democracy, contribute their opinions, and take an active role in shaping the school community.
An Ofsted report from our outstanding inspection highlighted how well these values are lived out in our school, noting that: “Everybody is treated equally here, which is the way that it should be.”
At On Track Education, we are committed to supporting our learners to develop into confident, happy, successful young people who are respectful of others and understand the importance of empathy, fairness, and equality. These are qualities we expect from all our students, regardless of their nationality, culture, or beliefs.
If you require additional information about British values and preventing extremism/radicalisation, please contact the school and speak with a member of our PSHE team.
Ofsted
Headteacher, Sally O’Connor, says:
"We are incredibly proud to have achieved an Outstanding Ofsted. Our pupils are at the heart of everything we do. We are thrilled that Ofsted recognises the positive and nurturing environment we have created, and the curriculum that offers a wide range of academic and vocational subjects, as well as exposing our pupils to the wider world and the opportunities available to them. This is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our leadership and staff teams who are determined to support, inspire, nurture and empower our pupils to be their best selves. I am extremely grateful to all our pupils, families and staff for their commitment, passion and drive, which have been instrumental in achieving this Outstanding result. We continue to be committed to the constant improvement of our school to ensure we are delivering the very best education and opportunities for our pupils to enable them to Thrive."
we are an "Outstanding school" - Ofsted, 2025
On Track Education transforms the lives of its pupils. The school places no limits on what pupils can achieve. It has the highest expectations of pupils, and in turn, pupils do all they can to rise to the challenge. They learn successfully because the school knows pupils’ individual needs so well. Staff expertly support pupils to ‘never give up’, try their best and believe in themselves.
The school is calm and orderly because of the clear routines in place that pupils follow extremely well. Pupils have beautiful manners. They feel safe and know that the attentive staff will help them if they have any worries.
Ofsted 2025:
"Pupils learn a highly ambitious curriculum that reflects their interests and talents. For many pupils, this is their first successful experience of education. Pupils who previously found it difficult to engage with education now show very impressive attitudes to their learning. Staff care deeply about pupils, including their emotional well-being and academic achievement. This enables pupils to grow in confidence and be fully prepared for the next stages of their education. Pupils are unanimous in their views of the school, stating, ‘This school is one of a kind. It could not be any better."
charity / community partnerships
Our charity work and partnerships not only provide valuable opportunities for pupils to develop empathy, teamwork and a sense of purpose, but also enable us to give back to the communities that support us. Through fundraising, volunteering and local collaborations, our students learn the importance of kindness, social responsibility and making a positive difference in the world around them.
Air Ambulance - Donation drop-offs. Donate gently used clothing and toys to support families in need.
SENDS 4 Dad – Promote/attend school fundraising and awareness events
