On Track Northampton Triumphs at the Northamptonshire Education Awards 2025

02 Dec

Friday 28 November was a night to remember for On Track Northampton as our team headed to the Northamptonshire Education Awards 2025, hosted at the County Cricket Club by Olympian Gail Emms MBE. Having been nominated and selected as finalists in two categories, our staff were ready to celebrate.

The evening itself was spectacular: first-class performances, delicious food and a magical atmosphere that honoured the outstanding work of educators across our county. We had never seen so many suits and sequins in one room, although with panto season approaching, that may soon be topped!

We were incredibly proud to be named finalists for SEN School of the Year 2025, a huge achievement in itself. But the loudest cheer of the night came when our fantastic English Department took home the award for English Team of the Year 2025 – a well-deserved recognition of their passion, talent and commitment to inspiring young people.

A huge congratulations to our award winners: Christopher Alvarez-Wilkinson, our brilliant Head of English, and his outstanding team, Nicola Butler, Charlotte Albery and Nicola Scott. Their success is a testament to the creativity and dedication that runs through the whole On Track Northampton community.

On Track Education Northampton School Manager, Sally O’Connor, captured the spirit of the night perfectly: "Our school came together in the evening to celebrate excellence, creativity, and the unstoppable spirit of our team and the impact this has on our pupils' lives. Our staff team brought the energy, the outfits, and excitement – we walked the red carpet dressed to kill. Seeing our teachers recognised for their dedication reinforces why we love what we do."

Finally, a big thank you to the organisers of the Northamptonshire Education Awards for hosting such a wonderful celebration.
