Setting the standard for SEMH alternative provision

Nestled in the beautiful Dartington Estate, On Track Education’s Intervention Centre is transforming the way young people with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs are supported.

Designed as a calm, low-sensory space, The Hex provides a safe and nurturing environment for pupils aged 7–16 who may be out of school, between placements, or struggling to manage in mainstream education. Every area of the hexagonal building has been carefully planned to encourage creativity, self-expression and positive connection.

Led by a dedicated and compassionate team, The Hex combines the THRIVE Approach, trauma-informed practice and PDA strategies to help each pupil grow in confidence and emotional resilience.

Rachel Foot, Intervention Manager, said, “When students realise they are safe, seen and valued, their confidence blossoms, and that’s when the real learning begins.”

Working closely with local authorities, schools and families across Devon and Cornwall, On Track’s Intervention Centre continues to set the standard for high-quality SEMH alternative provision.
